Jeff Karges, over 40-year veteran of the furniture industry and former CEO and driving force of Karges Furniture, re-entered the world of manufacturing in 2006 after working with many of the major furniture and fabric companies. By his side for 31 of those years has been his wife, Cheri (maiden name Caron). Her exquisite sense of style and his rare knowledge regarding the manufacturing of casegoods and upholstery, luxury fabrics, and finishing equip them for the requirements of any design project.

Jeff and Cheri decided to re-enter the manufacturing industry purely out of necessity.  They had some very large design projects and needed top-tier upholstery with short notice.  Already familiar with Custom Design, a small shop in Taylorsville, NC, they brought one of their projects to them. The pieces were finished quickly and they decided they could work more effectively by buying the shop. Karges & Caron was born.

Five years later they continue to offer the very best, not only in design, quality, and tailoring, but also in finishing and re-finishing. This unique capability to restore antique casegoods and upholstery makes them a rarity in the industry. Additionally, all of their styles can be ordered in “green” sustainable materials at no additional charge. With their philosophy of "the answer is 'yes', now what is the request" paired with their extensive skill set, they are a powerful asset to luxury design professionals.
